Vincent Lamouroux is a Paris-based artist whose site-specific installations seek to physically disrupt time and space, immersing the viewer in a new sensory reality. In the past, he has exhibited internationally, and his installations include floating “island” sculptures that disrupt space and landscape, staircases to nowhere, undulating floors and lime-washed patches of forest. His most recent work, “Projection,” is a site-specific intervention into the Sunset Pacific Motel in Los Angeles, for which he coated the entire structure as well as the lot’s billboard and palm trees with white limewash.
